Registers can be generated by PARS for detentions and removals or Extra classes

See also New Features link for new options available in our latest versions

Pupils who misbehave can be placed in detention during or after school. Parental consent can be managed through PARS and registers of attendance can be taken.

Pupils can be placed on detention or removed from a lesson in PARS. Registers are automatically created for pupils serving a detention/removal and parental consent can be sought, obtained and recorded using customised Detention / removal slips generated by PARS. A pupil who has a detention or removal recorded (or due to be served) on a particular day will have a symbol displayed on their normal registers.

Before a pupil can be placed on detention or removed from a lesson, a timeslot must be configured and scheduled for particular days. Now a pupil can be placed on detention/removal and added to one of these scheduled time slots.

Throughout the day any number of pupils can be placed on detention/removal but not necessarily given a date to attend. Where this is the case, a staff member can use Deal with detentions or removals to views a list of unresolved detention/removals and assign them to a specific day.

When a detention is recorded, the next available timeslot can be automatically selected and scheduled. To enable this, set the permission: Force automatic scheduling when saving detentions and the preference: The number of days advance time for booking detentions.

When the detention or removal takes place, a teacher can open a detention/removal register for the timeslot and see which pupils should be there. If any pupils fail to attend, they can have the detention/removal rescheduled from the register screen.

You can also restrict usage of timeslots created meaning only specific members of staff can use higher awarded Detention levels..example; a teacher may only be able to add a student on a 'Teacher Detention' yet SLT can place a student on a 'Teacher Detention' and a 'Head of Year Detention'. To set these go to: Main menu (Satchel) > Detentions > configure Detentions
