Email address changes
Some users will have the ability to request email address changes. They will have had to specify the new address, and whether this change is a simple error correction or if they are actually changing to a new account.
These changes can be reflected in SIMS, but first an administrator will need to Accept or Deny each request.
If the Preferences are so configured, an email can be sent informing that a new change request has been made. Otherwise, the user responsible for accepting changes should check this list periodically.
To view a change request, select it from the list and click on the main tool bar button to open the details as a pop up.
Accept or Deny the request as appropriate.
If email addresses are being used as usernames for Insight, Accepting a change will modify the SIMS email address, the user's email address, and the user's username if identical.
