Push notifications

Jump to navigationJump to searchPARS can trigger push notifications to Insight users when certain types of information are recorded in PARS. Some configuration is also required in Insight to enable this behaviour.
PARS Preferences
The settings in PARS to enable push notifications are accessed via:
Main menu > System management > Preferences
In the External contact section are the following preferences:
| If you have INSIGHT, push notify about any communication | This will trigger a push notication whenever an email, SMS or letter is generated via the External contact page |
| If you have INSIGHT, push notify when we add a demerit | This will trigger a push notication whenever a demerit is given to a student |
| If you have INSIGHT, message for demerit notifications | This is the message that will be used for push notifications about demerits. If left, blank, the default message for push notifications will be used (which is defined in Insight Preferences) |
| If you have INSIGHT, push notify when we add a merit | This will trigger a push notication whenever a merit is given to a student |
| If you have INSIGHT, message for merit notifications | This is the message that will be used for push notifications about merits. If left, blank, the default message for push notifications will be used (which is defined in Insight Preferences) |
| If you have INSIGHT, push notify when we add an detention | This will trigger a push notication whenever a detention is given to a student |
| If you have INSIGHT, message for detention notifications | This is the message that will be used for push notifications about detentions. If left, blank, the default message for push notifications will be used (which is defined in Insight Preferences) |
| If you have INSIGHT, push notify when we add an assignment | This will trigger a push notication whenever an assignment is given to a student |
| If you have INSIGHT, message for assignment notifications | This is the message that will be used for push notifications about assiignments. If left, blank, the default message for push notifications will be used (which is defined in Insight Preferences) |
| If you have INSIGHT, push notify when we add an removal | This will trigger a push notication whenever a removal is given to a student |
| If you have INSIGHT, message for removal notifications | This is the message that will be used for push notifications about removals. If left, blank, the default message for push notifications will be used (which is defined in Insight Preferences) |
