The Automation Module is used to perform various automated tasks in the SIMS database such as maintenance, report generation, behaviour rule generation and data transfers to third party software.

The IEP writer facility in PARS uses the Connect server to communicate with the SIMS database. A new preference has been added and should be configured to support this:
