Use this feature to create/edit/delete notices about a pupil. When a notice is added about a pupil parents can view this when they are logged on and viewing that pupils data.

Creating a new notice

  • Click on the "Add a notice" button to create a notice.
  • You must enter a date for the notice. You can use today, or a future date if you want the Notice to be dormant until the time comes to pass.
  • You may enter an optional expiry date. After this date, the notice will not be displayed.
  • If you would like to sent the notice as an email in addition to having it appear on the notices page, check the Email option.
  • Enter a subject and body text.
  • If an attachment needs to be added to the notice then use the Attachments tab to click on the "Add" button. Then select a file and click on the 'Upload' button. If a file has been selected in error, use the delete button to remove it.
  • Each notice will need some recipient users. These are selected by choosing which students are to be included. Use the Recipients tab to click on the "Add" button. Select the student or students the notice is applicable to and click on the "OK" button.

Editing notices

An existing notice can be edited by selecting a notice and clicking on the "Edit selected notice" button. The item in the recipient's inbox will be altered without having to resend the notice.

Deleting notices

A notice can be deleted by clicking on the "Delete selected notices" button. If a notice is deleted in here then parents will also no longer be able to view this notice.
