This report is generated when the first user accesses the school dinners option and reports back whether it has been successful or not. In order for it to run successfully the relevant ini.personalisation file should be in the correct folder and should be able to access the relevant database. If successful the report will show the PATH, SOURCE, Transaction count, Columns (relating to items on a receipt) and Rows (giving specific information about the entries in the columns). If the request is unsuccessful then errors will show for the relevant field.

Use the reports menu to view details of system activity and state.

Reports are broken down into a number of sections; most include only a single report.

  • SIMS Synchronisation Report
This report lets you choose a previously run Synchronisation and provides detailed information about each student identified during the process, and each of their contacts that were considered for user creation.
If after synchronisation you are unable to find a user, look at the SIMS Synchronisation report, select the date of the run and search for the student name in the report to see any warning messages.
Possible warning messages received are as follows:
  1. WARNING 1:Skipping due to no Parental Responsibility
  2. WARNING 2:Skipping due to not Contact Priority 1
  3. WARNING 3:Unlinking User XXXXX due to court order
  4. WARNING 3a:Unlinking User XXXXX due to newly emptied SIMS email
  5. WARNING 4:Skipping due to Court Order
  6. WARNING 4a:Skipping due to no email address
  7. WARNING 5:Skipping due to Court Order
  8. WARNING 8:No current linked users
  9. WARNING 9:Skipping due to error checking addresses Priority X
  10. WARNING 9:Skipping due to cohabiting Priority XX
  11. WARNING 10:No linked users have real email addresses
  12. WARNING 20:Removed link to student
You can then check and correct the necessary information, if required, in the SIMS database.

There are a number of methods to obtain more specific detail from this information table and further guidance can be found in Grid usage. For example, if your attempt to set up an Active Directory user has failed, you can filter on today's date, username and type, (as this is a failed attempt the username will be blank and the type will be an exclamation mark (!) for FAIL messages), and this will show all the problem messages in the Detail column, which you can then work through.

Linked Aspects

This report lists all Aspects that have been linked to one or more subjects. Click on the plus sign next to the aspect name to see which subjects are linked to it.

Engagement Analysis

Inengana.jpg

This report shows both the number of children in each year group who have been "viewed" as a chart, and those students who have not been viewed as a list. The chart can be displayed broken down into year groups, registration groups, gender and ethnicity. There are a number of reasons why students may show on the not viewed list; such as, users who have not been notified of their password, users who have a password but have just not logged into Insight or users who have logged-in and have viewed the information for one student but not for another. The Uptake pie chart shows a breakdown of Activated and Deactivated users. Within activated users it further breaks down those users who are active but have not logged into Insight yet, it shows these as Inactive
