The OFSTED document ‘Inspecting Attendance’ requires schools to have a working knowledge of both attendance and absence patterns across groups of pupils and how they are alerted to changes. Target is specifically designed to undertake this analysis for you, saving you valuable time.

TARGET allows schools to get to the root of any attendance problems quickly and easily through its graphical analytical tools that display attendance data, exposing patterns across different selections, from individual pupils to a number of groups. Teachers also have the ability to set targets ranging from percentages to broken weeks and half day absences; these are stored and displayed helping schools to then implement the required timely remedial action and monitor targets to see how pupils are progressing.

Using the trail of evidence provided by TARGET, schools can show their actions towards attendance improvements to OFSTED inspectors.
